The Denver Post has a beautiful, raw, touching photo essay about Ian Fisher, whom they followed as he went from high school to training to war and back home again. It has often been observed that we live in an era of shrinking newsroom budgets and whiplash-short attention spans–for investing the resources and patience necessary to follow this story for two-plus years to its end, the paper deserves to be commended.
